Reptile Boy

After training in which she pummels Giles as a means of revenge, she finds a bracelet in the cemetery. Angel appears and tells her there is blood on it. They begin to have an argument over their relationship, and Buffy runs away. The next day, she shows Giles the bracelet, and Willow recognises it, though she can't place it. Cordelia tries to convince Buffy to go to the frat party with her, pointing out how rich the families of the Delta Zeta Kappa are. Still upset about Angel, Buffy agrees to go. At the same time in the frat house, a pledge is taking the oath. Callie is chained up on the wall, and she begs Richard to let her go.

Willow sets about trying to find out who the bracelet belong to, but Buffy lies to Giles, saying she's not feeling well, so she can go to the frat party. Xander is not happy about her lying and decides to follow her to the party. At the party, Richard hands Buffy and Cordelia a drink. Buffy declines as Xander climbs his way in. Tom tries to make Buffy drink by telling her to relax and enjoy herself. Buffy gulps down her drink as Richard notices Xander, and another frat brother mistakes as a new pledge.

Willow realises where the bracelet is from and uses that info to look for a possible missing girl. In the frat house, Xander is wearing lipstick, a large bra and a skirt as well as a blonde wig. He is told to dance, and he does his usual lame dance, earning a round of laughter. Buffy, feeling dizzy, heads upstairs to falls into a bed. Richard comes in and brushes his hand along her face when Tom shoves him away, saying that she is for the pleasure for the one they serve. He then points to Cordelia, also unconscious, lying on the floor, warning Richard to keep his hands off them.

In the meantime, the party has finished, and Xander is thrown out. Cordelia and Buffy wake up and find themselves shackled to the wall in the basement. Callie is also with them, and she warns them about Tom, who has a symbol carved into his back. Willow works out where Callie is, except she has to reveal to Giles that Buffy is also at the frat house. Giles is upset that Buffy has lied to him, while Angel is upset because Buffy has a date. Willow then tells the two of them off, leaving them both shocked (see quotes).

They rush to the frat house, running into Xander. Tom begins a chant, and the girls are to be the sacrifices to Machida. As he finishes, a half snake, half man creature rises from the well. He advances towards the girls as Buffy tries desperately to break her chains. The rest of the gang arrives and breaks into the house. Tom orders Cordelia to be unchained and fed to Machida. Just then, Buffy breaks her chains off the ceiling and kicks Machida away from Cordelia.

Tom attacks Buffy with his sword but she shoves him away as Machida drags Cordelia away. She picks up the sword and swings it at him. He writhes in pain, and falls to the floor, dead. Buffy admits to Giles she is wrong to lie, but Giles also apologises to Buffy for driving her too hard. Angel also tries to patch things up with Buffy by offering to have a coffee with her, but Buffy just walks away, smiling.

Xander: Boy, what a long day.
Willow: And you skipped three classes.
Xander: Yeah, and, of course, THEY flew by.

Richard: So, who's your friend? (points to Buffy)
Cordelia: Her? Oh, she's not my friend.
Tom: She's amazing!
Cordelia: She's more like a sister, really! We're that close.

Richard: Hi, sweetheart. I'm Richard. And you are?
Buffy: SO not interested.

Xander: I hate these guys. Whatever they want just falls into their laps. Don't you hate these guys?
Willow: Yeah, with their charmed lives and their movie star good looks and more money than you can count? I'm hating.

Angel: What are you sayin', you wanna have a date?
Buffy: No.
Angel: You don't wanna have a date?
Buffy: Who said 'date'? I... never said 'date'.
Angel: Right. You just wanna have coffee or something.

Cordelia: Buffy! Did you lose weight? And your hair... Alright, I respect you too much to be dishonest. The hair's a little... (smiles) Well, that really isn't the point here, is it? The Zeta Kappas have to have a certain balance at their party, and Richard explained it all to me, but I was so busy really listening that I didn't hear much. Anyway, the deal is they need you to go. And if you don't go, I can't. And I'm talking about Richard Anderson, okay? As in Anderson Farms, Anderson Aeronautics and Anderson Cosmetics (sobs). Well, you see why I HAVE to go. Buffy, these men are rich. And I am NOT being shallow. Think of all the poor people I could help with all my money!

Willow: I can't believe she lied to Giles. My world is all askew.
Xander: Buffy's lying, Buffy's going to frat parties. That's not askew, that's cockeyed.
Willow: Askew means cockeyed.

Xander: I gotta keep an eye on Buffy. Those frat guys creep me.
Willow: You wanna protect her?
Xander: Mmmm
Willow: And prove that you're just as good as those rich, snotty guys?
Xander: Mmmm.
Willow: Maybe catch an orgy?
Xander: If it's on early.

Willow: Sorry. The reflection thing that you don't have. Angel, how do you shave?

Willow: Well, why do you think she went to that party? Because you gave her the brush-off! (to Giles) And you never let her do anything except work and patrol! And I know she's the Chosen One, but you're killing her with the pressure! I mean, she's sixteen going on forty! (to Angel) And you! I mean, you're gonna live forever! You don't have time for a cup of coffee?!
